WHAT’S MUCH WORSE

Trump is a bad guy. But he’s just one bad guy. He is a despicable person. But he is just one despicable person. He’s a liar and a cheat. But he’s just one liar and cheat. He’s an idiot and a buffoon. But he’s just one idiot and buffoon. He is a charlatan, a faker, a poser and a loser, who is nothing he pretends to be.

He is all of these things, and worse. He is a deadly threat to our democracy. But he is only a threat because there is something much worse than the malevolent buffoon he is. And that, my friends, is the millions of American citizens who have no more decency, brains, or self-respect but to support him. They literally ‘make him,’ and he knows it. For without the stupid, fawning cult, he is nothing. Absolutely nothing.

And I am far more troubled about these so-called Americans than I am about the empty, soulless fraud they deify.
